AI for logistics: plates, pallets, containers and warehouses
Warehouses and terminals lose time at the gate, at receiving and on paperwork. We build computer vision and AI agents that read plates, count pallets and push the data into your WMS with no manual typing.
Typical tasks
- 01Licence plate recognition at the gate
A camera reads the truck plate, the system checks the booking and opens the barrier. At TruxSpot this takes under a second, with no guard at the entrance. Every passage is logged with a photo.
- 02Pallet counting
Cameras above dock doors and in the receiving area count pallets during loading and unloading. The count is checked against the delivery note. A mismatch is visible before the truck leaves.
- 03Container number recognition
The system reads ISO 6346 container numbers at the terminal gate. Each number is matched with the booking and recorded without manual entry.
- 04CMR and delivery note processing
The AI reads CMRs, delivery notes and packing lists, including scans and phone photos. Data goes into your WMS or ERP, and uncertain fields are flagged for review.
- 05Dispatcher agent
An agent answers drivers and customers in messengers about status, loading windows and documents. It books a slot and alerts the warehouse about arrivals.
- 06Zone and safety monitoring
Cameras detect people in danger zones, equipment out of place and blocked aisles. The shift lead gets an alert.
Data and access requirements
- We use existing cameras over RTSP or ONVIF, and adjust angle and night lighting for plates.
- Integration with your WMS, SAP, Odoo or other ERP, booking system and barriers through API or the gate controller.
- eCMR and customs documents: we read them, but filings with authorities stay with your responsible staff.
- Plates linked to drivers are personal data under GDPR: limited retention, role-based access, DPA in place.
What we build for this industry
Case
- // LOGISTICS · CVTruxSpot
Truck parking without a guard at the gate
TaskAt night a guard checked arrivals against a list of bookings, or the gate code was known to everyone.
What we didThe camera reads the plate, the system finds the booking and opens the barrier. No booking, no entry.
Questions
How fast is plate recognition?
At TruxSpot it takes under a second from the truck appearing to the barrier opening. Speed depends on the camera, light and barrier wiring. During discovery we check your gate and tell you whether another camera is needed.
What about dirty plates or night time?
AI sometimes misreads dirty or damaged plates. For these cases there is manual confirmation in the app or a call to the dispatcher. We test the system on your night and rain footage before launch.
Which WMS and ERP systems do you integrate with?
Any with an API or file exchange: SAP, Odoo, Microsoft Dynamics and custom WMS. In discovery we define which data goes where, so your records remain the single source of truth.
What does it cost and how long does it take?
From $5,000 for a turnkey project. Discovery takes 1-2 weeks, the fixed estimate 2-3 days and the build 4-8 weeks. We start with one gate or dock and scale from there.
