The camera reads the plate, the system checks the booking, allow list or payment and opens the barrier itself. Every entry is stored with a frame. This is how the TruxSpot truck park works: under one second from plate to open gate, with no guard at the entry.
What hurts
At night a guard checks plates against a paper list. He gets tired, makes mistakes, and sometimes just lets everyone in. Everyone who has ever driven in knows the gate code.
Off-the-shelf ANPR opens the barrier from a static list. It knows nothing about your bookings, payments or passes. The vendor rarely offers to connect it to your database.
When there is a dispute about who entered and when, there is no proof. The entry log is a notebook, and finding the right hour of footage takes ages.

Questions
How much does ANPR with barrier control cost?
From $5,000 per entry with integration. The price depends on the number of entries and exits, whether you need a new camera, how complex the check is (booking, payment, list) and the barrier controller type. We give a fixed estimate within 2-3 days after the site survey.
Does it work at night and in bad weather?
Yes, if the camera is positioned correctly and has IR illumination. Dirty or covered plates may not be read. In that case the system does not open and sends the frame to the person on duty in Telegram. We measure day and night accuracy at your gate before handover.
What if the internet goes down?
The edge computer keeps a local copy of the list and bookings, so the barrier keeps working offline. Events sync once the connection is back. For parking and warehouses this matters, so it is our default setup.
Which systems do you integrate with?
Your booking system, CRM, ERP such as SAP or Odoo, or a simple pass list, via API. Barriers and gates are controlled through a relay or network controller. If you have no booking system, we provide a simple list in the dashboard.
How long does it take?
Usually 3-6 weeks. Camera mounting and setup, integration with your data, then a shadow period where the system only logs decisions and a person still opens the barrier. After measuring accuracy we switch on automatic opening.
