AI for logistics and warehousing: routes, dock slots, receiving and dispatch control

We connect AI to your WMS, TMS and warehouse cameras. It plans routes and dock slots, checks receiving and dispatch against video and documents, and logs incidents. Dispatchers see a problem before the customer calls.

What hurts

Trucks arrive at the warehouse at the same time and queue for hours. Dock slots are handed out by phone and spreadsheet. Drivers wait, and you pay the detention fees.

Quantities are checked by hand at receiving and dispatch. Wrong items, short shipments and damaged pallets are found by the customer, not the warehouse. Without video it is hard to prove what actually left the dock.

Routes are planned from a dispatcher’s experience, not from data. Delays, breakdowns and complaints are reported in chat and forgotten. Management cannot see where time and money are lost.

What we build

  • Route planning with delivery windows, load and traffic
  • Dock appointment scheduling and a digital queue for carriers
  • Video control of receiving and dispatch on your existing cameras (RTSP/ONVIF)
  • Licence plate recognition at the gate with booking checks
  • Matching actual quantities with delivery notes, WMS and ERP
  • An incident log with photos and video, plus alerts to the team
  • Integration with your WMS, TMS, ERP such as SAP or Odoo, and carriers

What you get

  • A working system in production at your warehouse
  • Integrations with WMS, TMS, ERP and cameras
  • A warehouse and logistics dashboard: queue, slots, discrepancies, incidents
  • A video archive for every shipment linked to its document
  • Documentation, access handover and training for dispatchers and staff

How we measure the result

  • Average truck turnaround time on site
  • Number of discrepancies at receiving and dispatch
  • Share of deliveries made within the window
  • Time from incident to response by the owner

Questions

How much does AI for logistics cost?

From $8,000. The price depends on the number of sites, docks and cameras, whether you have a WMS and which modules you need: routes, slots or video control. We give a fixed estimate 2-3 days after discovery.

Do we need new cameras?

Usually not. We work with existing IP cameras over RTSP or ONVIF. During discovery we check angles and image quality. If a camera cannot see the dock or the plate, we tell you exactly what to add.

Have you done similar projects?

Yes. For TruxSpot we built an unattended truck parking entry: the system reads the plate, checks the booking and opens the barrier in under one second, with no guard at the gate. The same approach works at a warehouse gate.

How accurate is video control?

AI sometimes makes mistakes in poor lighting, with dense loads or a blocked camera. So the system flags doubtful cases for a person instead of deciding alone. We measure accuracy on your own footage before launch, and video processing follows GDPR rules on retention and access.

How long does it take?

From 6 to 10 weeks. We start with one dock or one module, compare it with the manual process and then roll out across the site.

What happens after launch?

Under an SLA we monitor cameras and integrations, retrain models on new cases and add new sites. Models, code and the video archive stay with you.
