Checkbox integration that issues a fiscal receipt the moment a payment lands

Checkbox is a cloud software cash register used widely in Ukraine. If you sell to Ukrainian customers online, every card payment needs a fiscal receipt. We make that automatic: sale, refund, shift open and close, plus reconciliation with your acquirer.

What hurts

A customer pays by card on your website, and a manager issues the receipt by hand in the Checkbox dashboard. Sometimes the next day. Sometimes never, which is a compliance risk.

Refunds are done by eye. Someone looks for the original receipt, types the amount and mixes up items. A shift was left open overnight, and in the morning the register refuses new receipts.

Receipts sit in Checkbox, payments in the acquirer, orders in the CRM. Bringing them into one report for accounting takes a spreadsheet. Mismatches surface at month end.

What we build

  • Fiscalising a sale after the acquirer confirms payment: LiqPay by PrivatBank, monobank or another acquirer
  • Our own ID on every receipt, so a repeated request never creates a second receipt
  • Refund receipts linked to the original sale and the right line items
  • Automatic shift opening and closing, scheduled Z reports
  • Sending the receipt to the customer by email or messenger
  • Retry queue when the Checkbox API does not respond, plus register offline mode monitoring
  • Writing fiscal numbers back to your CRM, BAS or database
  • Daily reconciliation of acquirer payments against fiscal receipts, mismatches sent as alerts

What you get

  • Integration code and Checkbox register and cashier setup
  • Documentation: sale, refund and shift scenarios, plus an error playbook
  • Payment and receipt reconciliation report with history
  • Tests for sales, partial refunds, discounts and split payments
  • Handover session for your accountant and register owner

How we measure the result

  • Share of payments with an automatic receipt, targeting 100%
  • Time from payment to fiscal receipt
  • Mismatches between acquirer payments and receipts per day
  • Shifts closed late

Questions

How much does a Checkbox integration cost?

From $5,000. The price depends on the number of sales channels, payment methods and scenarios such as partial refunds, prepayments and several registers. One website with one acquirer costs less than a chain with a CRM and an app. We give a fixed estimate 2–3 days after discovery, once we have mapped your payment and refund scenarios.

What if Checkbox or the tax service is down?

The request waits in a queue and is retried. Because every receipt carries our ID, a retry cannot create a duplicate. If the register goes into offline mode, we watch that receipts are uploaded later and the offline window stays within limits.

We are an EU company selling into Ukraine. Do we need this?

If you accept payments from Ukrainian customers through a Ukrainian entity, fiscal receipts usually apply. Your accountant or lawyer confirms the exact rule. We then build the flow so finance does not touch each sale.

What access do you need?

Access to the Checkbox dashboard, the register licence key, cashier credentials for the API, your acquirer and the system that produces sales. We never copy the cashier’s signing key; it stays under your control. Access is shared after an NDA; we work under ISO/IEC 27001.

How long does it take?

3–5 weeks. First a test register and test receipts, then launch on part of the sales. Once daily reconciliation shows no mismatches for several days in a row, we switch on the full flow.
