People counting, entry conversion and floor heatmaps on your cameras

Entrance cameras count visitors, and floor cameras build a heatmap: where people stop, which zones stay empty, when peaks happen. Data goes to a dashboard and to Telegram. We do not recognise faces.

What hurts

You know how many receipts you have, but not how many people walked in. Without footfall you cannot tell whether the problem is marketing or the sales floor. Entry conversion is a guess.

Store layout and staff rotas are based on gut feeling. Nobody knows which shelf works and which one everyone walks past. Peak hours show up only when the queue forms.

Door counters count door openings, not people, and drift over time. Buying dedicated sensors for every site is expensive, and the cameras are already there.

What we build

  • Connection of entrance and floor cameras via RTSP/ONVIF
  • Entry and exit counting, with staff excluded by zone or uniform
  • Zone heatmaps: dwell time, paths, dead areas
  • Live occupancy of the floor or gym equipment
  • POS integration for entry to purchase conversion
  • Dashboard by site, day and hour with period comparison
  • Telegram daily report and peak occupancy alerts

What you get

  • People counting running on your cameras
  • Footfall and heatmap dashboard with user access
  • Telegram bot with reports for managers
  • Accuracy report comparing automatic and manual counts
  • Documentation, data export and an SLA

How we measure the result

  • Footfall by hour and weekday for each site
  • Entry to receipt conversion when the POS is connected
  • Gap between automatic and manual counts on control samples
  • Zone and equipment occupancy at peak hours

Questions

How much does people counting cost?

From $5,000. The price depends on the number of sites and cameras, whether you need floor heatmaps, whether we connect the POS for conversion, and where processing runs. After the camera audit we give a fixed estimate within 2-3 days.

Do you recognise faces?

No. Counting and heatmaps do not need faces. The system sees silhouettes and paths. We do not recognise or store visitor faces, which keeps GDPR review simple. Analysis can run on a computer on your premises so video stays on site. This is how we count visitors and map equipment use for a fitness club chain.

How do you separate staff from visitors?

Usually by zone, such as a staff entrance, or by a visible uniform. It is not always possible to exclude staff fully, so we measure the error on your site and show it in the report. Numbers are compared with manual counts on control samples.

Will our cameras work?

For entrances, an overhead camera or one angled above the door works best. For heatmaps, standard floor overview cameras are fine. The audit tells you which cameras fit and which should be turned or added. Often nothing needs to be bought.

What does a manager get?

A dashboard with footfall and maps by hour, plus a daily Telegram report. For a fitness club that means equipment occupancy and messages to trainers. For retail it means footfall, conversion and the zones people walk past.
