How much does AI mobile app development cost?
From $15,000. The price depends on screens and roles, AI features, camera or voice work, offline mode and integrations. After discovery you get a fixed estimate within 2-3 days. Apple and Google developer accounts are paid by you and sit outside the estimate.
Why React Native and not fully native?
One codebase for iOS and Android is cheaper and faster to evolve. Features reach both platforms at once. For heavy on-device work we write native modules. Our own Happ app is built the same way.
How long until the app is in the stores?
Usually 10-20 weeks. A first build goes to internal testing within a few weeks. We build Apple and Google review into the plan with a buffer, because its timing is outside our control. Google Play needs a tester group, and we help you set it up.
Does the AI run on the phone or on a server?
It depends on the task. Small models can run on the device; larger ones run on a server, including our own vLLM when data must stay out of third party models for GDPR reasons. AI sometimes gets things wrong, so users can always correct the result.
What happens after release?
Apps need updates: new iOS and Android versions, store policy changes, dependencies. We offer SLA support or a retainer for new features. You can also hand everything to your own team, the code and accounts are already yours.
