AI MVP development: a first working product you can test on real customers

AI MVP development that gets you in front of paying customers. One core scenario done properly: sign up, payment or request, the AI feature, analytics. No months spent on features nobody asked for.

What hurts

You have an AI product idea and you know who needs it. But AI MVP development at a typical agency takes half a year. By then the market has moved and the runway is shorter.

A no-code demo or a chat with a model looks convincing. Then the first users arrive and it falls apart: no roles, no data model, no logs, no billing. The team ends up rewriting it from scratch.

The hardest part is deciding what not to build. Every meeting adds one more feature. Nobody knows where the AI is reliable and where it will fail on real data.

What we build

  • Discovery: core scenario, hypothesis, success metric and an explicit out-of-scope list
  • UX prototype and a clickable mock-up of the key screens
  • NestJS backend, PostgreSQL database, roles and authentication
  • The AI feature: model choice, prompts, RAG or tools, guardrails against bad output
  • Web app on Next.js or a mobile app on React Native and Expo
  • Payments or lead capture, emails and notifications, a basic admin panel
  • Product analytics and logging of AI answers for review
  • A test suite for the AI feature and automated tests for the core flow

What you get

  • A working MVP in production on your domain and in your accounts
  • Source code in your repository, IP assigned to you by contract
  • Architecture documentation and a handover guide for the next team
  • A product metrics dashboard and a log of AI answers
  • A plan for the next iterations based on data from the first users

How we measure the result

  • Share of users who reach the key action in the product
  • Share of AI answers users accept without edits
  • Time from a feature idea to its release
  • Model cost per active user

Questions

How much does AI MVP development cost?

From $15,000. The price depends on the number of roles and screens, web or mobile, how hard the AI feature is and which integrations you need. After 1-2 weeks of discovery you get a fixed estimate within 2-3 days. If we overrun it through our own fault, we finish at our cost.

How long does an MVP take?

Usually 6-12 weeks after discovery. You see a demo every week and can change priorities. The first release goes to a small group of users. That way bugs show up on low traffic rather than on all your customers at once.

What is the difference between an MVP and a PoC?

A PoC tests whether AI can handle the task on your data at all. An MVP is a product for real people, with sign up, roles, data, billing and monitoring. If technical feasibility is still in doubt, we recommend starting with a PoC.

What do you need from us?

One decision maker on the product side who is available every week. A description of the target customer and a few real data samples. Hosting, domain and payment accounts are opened in your name. We sign an NDA before you share anything.

Which AI models do you use?

We pick per task: commercial models through an API, or open models on our own vLLM when data cannot leave your control under GDPR. AI sometimes makes mistakes, so we add checks, fallback flows and a test suite that runs before every release.

What happens after launch?

You can move to SLA support or a product development retainer. Or you take the code to your own team: the documentation and repository are already yours. We do not lock you in with closed components.
