MCP server development so AI assistants can work safely with your systems

MCP, the Model Context Protocol, is the standard AI assistants use to reach tools and data. We build an MCP server for your system with authorization, permissions, rate limits and a call log. Then Claude, ChatGPT or your own agent can work with it directly.

What hurts

Your team wants to use AI in familiar assistants, but the data sits in the CRM, ERP and internal databases. Every time, someone copies tables into the chat by hand. It is slow and unsafe, because too much ends up in the chat.

Ready-made MCP connectors exist only for popular services. There is nothing for your internal system or industry software. And a homemade server without authorization exposes everything at once.

If you sell software, customers already ask whether it connects to Claude or ChatGPT. Without your own MCP server, third parties build it however they can. And you have no control over how your API is used.

What we build

  • API review and choice of the tools worth exposing to assistants
  • An MCP server in TypeScript with tool descriptions a model understands
  • Authorization via OAuth 2.1 and per-user permissions
  • Rate limits and protection against bulk data export
  • A call log: who requested what and when
  • Tests with Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor on real scenarios
  • Deployment on your own server, next to the system it exposes
  • Documentation for users and developers

What you get

  • Source code of the MCP server in your repository
  • A deployed server with authorization configured
  • A set of test scenarios to verify every tool
  • Connection guides for Claude, ChatGPT and other clients
  • A security report: permissions, limits, logging

How we measure the result

  • Share of assistant requests completed without tool errors
  • Number of users working through MCP every week
  • Time to complete a task that used to need manual copying
  • Number of blocked attempts to access data beyond permissions

Questions

What is MCP and why do we need it?

The Model Context Protocol is an open standard supported by Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and other clients. It lets an assistant call tools in your system: find a customer, create a task, pull a report. One server works with every compatible assistant.

How much does an MCP server cost?

From $5,000. The price depends on the number of tools, the complexity of authorization, hosting requirements and the state of your API. If there is no API, we build one first as a separate stage. You get a fixed estimate 2–3 days after discovery.

Is it safe to give AI access to our systems?

It is as safe as the permissions are tight. The assistant sees only what the user sees. Dangerous actions require confirmation, and every call is logged. We hold ISO/IEC 27001:2022, follow GDPR and build servers under the same rules.

Do you have hands-on MCP experience?

Yes. Our Happ platform has its own MCP server, and we maintain it ourselves. That is where we learned to describe tools so a model picks the right one and passes the right parameters. We bring that experience to your project.

How long does development take?

From 3 to 6 weeks. A first version with a few tools is usually ready within 1–2 weeks of development. Then we add tools and harden security. After launch we provide SLA support and updates for new protocol versions.
